That was "Shaping Rossau!"
Follow-up report on the event "Shaping Rossau! Developing commercial areas in line with demand"

The event "Shaping Rossau! Developing commercial areas to meet demand" attracted around 70 participants and illustrated the great interest in the topic of "Building in Rossau". The Rossau district management once again offered the opportunity to gather information, openly exchange ideas and tackle challenges together.
Companies want to grow in Rossau
Petra Hohenauer and Julia Frischhut from Standortagentur Tirol kicked off the event with a review of the survey of companies in the district in summer 2025 on business expansions and real estate development in Rossau. The survey showed: Yes, companies want to grow in Rossau and have a concrete need for space! Factors such as location attractiveness, accessibility & mobility and good infrastructure are important for this. The image and representativeness of the surrounding area also play a major role, as do networking and opportunities for co-design. With the Rossau location offensive and the work of the district management, all of these topics are already being addressed and developed step by step.
What the business parks of tomorrow could look like
In her inspiring keynote speech, Monika Hohenecker opened up a view of comparable neighborhood developments. She provided exciting insights into how the business parks of tomorrow can be designed and how it is possible to reconcile the very different needs of the relevant stakeholders.
Panel discussion at the heart of the event: dialog instead of buzzwords
The heart of the event was the panel discussion (with audience participation), which opened up the space for dialog between politicians, administrators, entrepreneurs and experts. Franziska Leeb led the open discussion competently and, when necessary, provocatively, bringing up lines of conflict, uncertainties and needs. Important output: Transparency and participation in the city's strategic planning creates orientation and favorable conditions for the development of companies! And: many a process should be reflected upon and improved so that projects can progress faster, better and more cost-effectively.
Finally, there were refreshing new perspectives and playful visions for Rossau, which students from the Faculty of Architecture developed last semester. Visitors were able to take these inspirations home with them in the form of the FAST FORWARD ROSSAU brochure.
What do we take with us?
Even if we talk about the same thing, we often mean different things. Therefore: transparency and dialog at eye level are crucial for the further development of the neighborhood. And: it is important never to lose the vision, the positive image of the future!
