When the mountains are close enough to touch and the city is celebrating, it’s Bergsilvester. Innsbruck bids farewell to the old year with a lively downtown scene, cool music, a wintry atmosphere, and a unique blend of urban life and alpine scenery.
New Year's Eve Party on December 31
New Year’s Eve in the Mountains kicks off at 11 a.m. with a cozy morning beer in the Old Town featuring Dixie Brass Tyrol. Starting at 3:30 p.m., the New Year’s Eve Run provides athletic highlights and draws enthusiastic spectators along the route. As darkness falls, the city transforms into one big open-air celebration: Starting at 9 p.m., parties in front of the Hofburg and at the Marktplatz invite everyone to celebrate, dance, and toast the New Year together. The New Year will be rung in with Eric Papilaya featuring The Good Vibe Tribe and DJ In-Style ( starting at 9:00 p.m.) , in front of the Hofburg, as well as the midnight fireworks at the Seegrube.
For anyone who wants to keep the party going, the fun continues right after the open-air parties at the Bergsilvester Clubbing event at the Dogana in the Congresshaus: at SILVESTER BEATS, Austria’s largest indoor New Year’s Eve clubbing event, featuring beats, club sounds, and a great atmosphere until the early morning hours.
Since 2007, Eric Papilaya has been performing on stages across Austria, getting fans to party at events ranging from the Donauinselfest to the “Woodstock of Brass Music.”
With “Eric Papilaya intr. The Good Vibe Tribe,” the artist—who has been nominated for three Amadeus Awards—has now come full circle. Entertainment is at the top of the list for his shows, where he presents brand-new original songs that inspire audiences to dance the night away and gets fans singing along with timeless classics in fresh arrangements.
He’s as much a part of New Year’s Eve in the mountains as the fireworks over the Nordkette: DJ In-Style will be back in Innsbruck again this year to ring in the New Year. The Tyrolean DJ will once again guide thousands of visitors through the final hours of the year in front of the Hofburg, getting them to sing along, dance, and jump.
