Sometimes carried by casual disco-funk rhythms, sometimes with influences from the Hamburg School, sometimes with a hint of bossa nova - it is precisely this mixture that gives the sound its individuality and clearly sets it apart from slick German pop. Tschentig
Cool, casual, leiwand - or simply tschentig? All these words mean the same thing, but none of them are as accurate as our Tyrolean dialect word Tschentig. It stands for what we are: honest, genuine and passionate. We - Hanna, Daniel, Michael and Paul - have been making music together since 2006. It all started with our love of traditional folk music. Today we combine the best of folk music, pop and film music to create our very own style. With three-part vocals, versatile instruments and a good portion of Tyrolean attitude to life, we create music that touches, connects generations, tells stories and creates unforgettable moments. There is probably no better word to describe this style of music than Tschentig.
